The area is 0,17 ha today. Reconstruction started in 2001. The research of acclimatization and introduction of Rhododendron L. taxa was started in 2001. In the years of 2002 and 2004, 53 taxa (20 species and 33 cultivars) of Rhododendron were imported from Babite experimental station (Latvia University). Most of cultivars are originated by prof. R. Kondrotovic.
